Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Luffy - who has been stuck in foster for over a year, not one application on him.
Luffy is named after the long-lived animal hit show "One-Piece" that recently hit the big screen on Netflix. It fits his personality. He's adventurous, goofy, fun and kind.
This sweet boy was totally emaciated when we found him. We weren’t even there for him that day. We were looking for another dog. But he said….. “what about me?” with those piercing eyes and quietly followed the rescuer hanging his head low. He was starving. His bones were sticking out from every angle of his body. But he just followed and hoped. His tail wagging almost like it was singing a song of his sweet personality. A dog abandoned like garbage but with a spirit that refused to break. He had faith. And we welcome him with open arms.
His soul is a gentle one. He can play hard with the big dogs and be gentle with the small. He has flourished with his time in rescue. It's amazing what a little "time, love and tenderness" can do!
He is currently in a foster home with other dogs of varying sizes. Also young children, He loves them all. His jumping can use some work, as it can with most young dogs. He loves to be with people. He likes to play. And we just think he is grateful to be here and has such a zest for life!
He weighs in now at about 45 lbs. We do think he will fill in a little more. He is crate trained. Loves toys. And wants nothing more than a family and home to call his own.
The adoption donation is $595.00. This includes: neuter, vaccines (dhpp, bordetella, rabies), microchip, health certificate, fecal test and he is on preventatives for fleas/ticks/heartworm.
Out of state adopters must also pay for an interstate health certificate to their state.
