Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Polkadot cannot go home until after he's been neutered. He can still accept visitors and adoption applications beginning Friday, August 16th while we wait for his surgery.*
Meet Polkadot!
This distinctly adorable friend is estimated to be around 1 year old (maybe even younger!). He was found as a stray near the Safeway in Moscow, and was unfortunately never claimed by an owner.
If you think that Polkadot is the cutest dog you've ever seen, then we have great news: he's even BETTER in person! His bubbly personality will win you over in moments, so if you aren't totally ready to fall in love and bring a canine bff home, proceed with caution. Polkadot will sit on command but does get overly excited at times and forgets what he's supposed to be doing. He's a super smart boy and would likely thrive with continued training!
We believe Polkadot to be some sort of border collie mix (we'd love to see his DNA panel!), and he has plenty of energy to prove it. Polkadot will need access to a secure outdoor area or several daily walks to ensure he's getting enough exercise. He would greatly appreciate an active owner who can get him out of the house often. Looking for an adventure dog? Polkadot is always ready to party.
Since he arrived in our care as a stray, we aren't sure how Polkadot would do around dogs, cats, or children in his future home. We do offer a seven-day foster period with each adoption, and require all dogs to meet any canines in the home prior to leaving HSoP.
Polkadot will be neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped with his new owner's information by the time he goes home. His adoption fee is just $135. Anyone interested in Polkadot is welcome to visit him between 2:00-5:00pm Monday through Saturday with no appointment needed.
