My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you enjoy strong, independent, smart dogs? Well, Basil Rose is for you!

This pretty lady LOVES to go for walks, using her nose to sniff, and enjoys seeking attention on her terms. She can be nervous with new people; it takes her a bit to warm up enough to trust you! Once you're in her circle, though? Nothing but butt wiggles and "Woo-woos" Of excitement at seeing her friends! Basil has been working on some leash manners; it's not that she pulls, it's more so she follows her nose! She can sometimes be reactive while on leash, but is learning a "Leave it." Command!

Basil's ideal home would be someone to come meet with her a couple times so she can get comfortable and confident around you! Someone who enjoys going for lazy walks, or a spur of the moment hike; she's down for anything! As for other dogs, she can be a bit picky when it comes to who she likes and who she dislikes. We are requiring all dogs in her future home to come and meet with her to make sure they all get along! As for kitties and kids, you ask? A home with dog savvy (Cats who are used to living with dogs) or no cats; Basil Rose came in as a stray, so we do not know if she has ever lived with cats or not. She's looking for an adult only home where she can be the baby of the family!
