My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella is a curious and sweet girl. Once she warms up to you she opens up out of her shell and loves to be pet and loved! Stella is also a cuddler! She picks and chooses when she wants to cuddle up by your feet and fall asleep by your feet in bed. Stella also loves to hide in the cubicles of cat trees and closets and laundry hampers so she has a small, hidden, dark place to nap in.

When she was just a few weeks old I found Stella and her siblings with their mama in a parking lot with lots of busy traffic surrounding them. Their young mama tried the best she could to hide her babies under cars for safety, but that is how Stella lost 2 of her total of 5 siblings. She is so curious and playful! She loves to play with crinkle balls and cat lasers, and perch on her cat trees with her sister. Her sister Opal, KRLA-A-7892, and she are bonded because they have been together the longest, since their other siblings and their mama were adopted out. When it is time to cut their nails and I separate them in different rooms, they cry for each other because they hate to be separated, which is why they must be adopted out as a pair.

These sisters are such sweethearts and are looking to be together forever in a safe and loving home!

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
