My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please Contact Foster At: travelingdesign@gmail.com

Poppet is a 2-3 year old lab/pit mix. She is a compact 26 lbs of energy and joy. Poppet loves walks and human affection, she’s never met a stranger. She is crate trained and potty trained. She could do with consistent training to learn good manners and to not jump when she’s excited or seeking affection. She is trainable, and already knows sit and sleeps when the humans are having their meals. She loves walks, but does pull and needs some training there as well.

She is currently sharing a home with a 14 year old giant schnauzer and has shown no signs of aggression, only interest in playing. She is highly food motivated, but shows no signs of aggression when the resident dog sniffs her bowl when she is eating. She has seen cats and small animals on walks and only shows mild interest with no interest in chasing.

Poppet is a very sweet girl who needs a home where she can learn manners and have consistent exercise for her energy level. She may love having dogs her age to play with. Until she learns her manners and not to jump, a home with small children may not be ideal for her, as she can knock them over when she jumps.

House trained – yes
Crate trained – yes
Dog friendly – yes
Cat friendly – unknown
Leash trained – yes, but pulls and needs some training
Good in car – yes
