Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lily is living in a foster home in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.
Lily is approximately 10 years old and only 5.5 pounds. She is a very small, low-key, loyal and sweet girl. Her foster family adores her! She is the best companion dog.
Lily lives with several other dogs and does well with all of them. Lily enjoys spending her days following her humans around the house, exploring the backyard, going for a short walks and taking naps.
Lily is fully housetrained at her foster home. She knows how to use the doggy door to go outside or she will sit by the door when she needs to go outside and there isn't a doggy door.
Lily sleeps in her dog bed all night long. Sometimes she snores and it is the cutest snore.
We think Lily may have cataracts or can see shadows. She also may have some slight hearing loss. She doesn't always hear her humans when they call her name, but she doesn't let that stop her from enjoying life. She would do best in a home with children 6 years and older. She would also appreciate someone with the patience to let her settle into a new environment and adjust to her new surrounding for the first few days. It only took her a few days to adjust to her foster homes. Then she came come out of her shell and we saw her beautiful personality.
Lily doesn't mind meeting new people at her foster home or out in the community. She is a happy little girl with the softest coat of hair. She gets a lot of attention when she is out mingling in public.
Lily would love to live with someone that is going to take her for short walks, give her a comfy dog bed for naps and spoil her with chicken or cheese sometimes. She is spoiled and she loves it. She will show you all the love in return!
Interested in adoption? The first step is an application at paddyspaws.blogspot.com. Please do not apply if pets in the home are not up to date per our website requirements or are not altered.
Our rescue adopts to Wisconsin and Illinois. Our requirements for Illinois applications are: excellent vet history, no children under 7 in the home, and an owned home. Wisconsin does not have these requirements, though we will not consider applications where pets are missing core veterinary care.
Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit, and once
approved a meet and greet with the dog. Adoption fee is $250.
