Best Match:
Seeking an adopter with some cat experience
Could join a calm home with older kids and teens
May be okay with other cats
Needs to be indoor only
Spirit is a sweet, gentle soul with the prettiest blue eyes. She’s a mellow cat who still enjoys a good play session. She particularly likes chasing after wand toys and sometimes will even stand up on her hind legs as she pursues it! When left to her own devices, she’s also content with solo play, like spending time with her scratching post or lounging in a cardboard scratch bed.
Her foster notes that while she was initially shy, Spirit’s affectionate side has blossomed with time, and they see more and more of it each day. Spirit may not be a lap cat, but once you’ve earned her trust, she loves to cuddle up next to you and purr contentedly. She’ll even give you a gentle nudge to let you know when you need to be petting her.
When first introduced to a new space, Spirit can be timid, and she still startles at sudden, loud noises. In her foster home, she seems interested in the resident cats and she may do well with other cats given the right introduction. Having a cat friend may help Spirit come out of her shell even more. Ideally, Spirit’s adopter will have experience working with more reserved cats and can patiently help her thrive in a new environment. She could do well in a home with older kids, particularly ones who lived with a cat before.
One of Spirit’s favorite activities is to sit up high on a perch near a window and look out, keeping a close eye on the world outside. She takes her job as the neighborhood watch very seriously! While she’s not particularly food-motivated, it could be that her favorite foods and treats haven’t yet been discovered, which could be a fun activity for her adopter. There are so many things to try!
Spirit is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form!
