Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rauw is an energetic and sweet boy who, with time, will steal your heart.
While he's too proud to admit it, Rauw-seph is a bit of a scaredy-cat. He is startled by loud noises like vacuums, washing machines, street traffic and sneezing. He takes his time to trust strangers, but will still show his affection and appreciation to you by weaving through your legs and head butting your calves.
Once he understands you're a friend, Rauw will follow you from room to room and nap at your side. In the evenings, he hops up to his foster mom's bed and sleeps at her feet.
Rauw-seph enjoys lounging on chairs, in boxes and in the middle of hallways. He is a yoga enthusiast and will sit in complex poses while he cleans himself. He LOVES playtime and gives it his all. He will bunny kick his fabric ribbon toy, chase catnip balls, and bat around toy mice. Rauw’s forever home will commit time every day to play with him since he has a lot of energy. He is such a goofball and can be caught with his mouth hanging open during intense play sessions. When his nighttime zoomies kick in, he can entertain himself independently by jumping over couches and running laps.
Rauw is food motivated and knows how to use puzzle feeders to eat his wet and dry food. He's smart enough to know when it’s 5 minutes before his eating time and will remind his people with a cheerful “RA-UW!”.
Rauw was picked up by Toronto Animal Services, and not much is known of his history.
While he tolerates being picked up for very short periods of time, he is still learning what appropriate play is. His forever family is patient, understanding and willing to continue working with him on this. At times, he swats at those who pass by him or if he's touched for a bit too long. He uses a vertical scratching post, but sometimes still scratches the couch. He is not a lap cat, but has been starting to learn that pets and chin scratches feel pretty nice.
Sweet Rauw is the only pet at his foster home and would likely do best if he remained the only pet at his forever home. If you’re looking for a silly-billy boy to bring excitement in your life, Rauw’s your guy!

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
