My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Magnus is looking for his new family after his was forced to give him up due to pet policies changing.

Pros:
*Potty trained
*Loves the dog park but hasn't lived with other dogs
*Knows how to sit, stay, spin, and bark on command
*Very calm
*Loves to relax with you
*Walks pretty well on a leash

Cons:
*Unsure how he would do with cats but given his laid-back nature, we think he'd do okay with lots of training/slow introductions
*Has allergies so is on food WITHOUT chicken, beef, or dairy but no medications

Do you think Magnus is the perfect boy for you? Fill out our adoption application and if approved, we will reach out within two days to set up a 60-minute meet-and-greet/adoption appointment. All dogs come with one free week of training through the service GoodPup.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.

Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.

HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.

We sincerely thank you for making this possible.
