Welcome Queso to HSBC! This poor girl and her friend Chips were left unclaimed at Happy Tales but we are happy to help her find her perfect forever home! We do think that Chips and Queso would do best if adopted together. Their adoption fee will be BOGO if someone is willing to give them both a new home.

Pros:
*Very sweet
*LOVES to cuddle
*The perfect medium size
*Knows how to sit
*Still young and very responsive to attention
*Does well with most other dogs
*Does okay with kids but prefers if they are respectful of her space and quieter
*Housetrained
*Great recall
*Walks great on a leash
*Crate trained
*Good alarm system but listens when told to stop

Cons:
*Would need lots of training before being in a home with cats
*Can be a lot more cautious, takes time to feel comfortable

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.

Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.

HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.
