Welcome Chips to HSBC! This poor girl and her friend Queso were left unclaimed at Happy Tales but we are happy to help her find her perfect forever home! We do think that Chips and Queso would do best if adopted together. Their adoption fee will be BOGO if someone is willing to give them both a new home.

Pros:
*Very sweet and loving
*Makes the silliest faces
*Knows how to sit
*Very confident and outgoing
*Still playful and young
*Would probably do okay with cats if given slow introductions and taught how to play properly, she is very interested in them
*Okay with kids but can get a bit overexcited
*Housetrained
*Great recall
*Walks okay on a leash
*Crate trained
*Good alarm system but listens when told to stop

Cons:
*Only likes specific dog friends and needs very slow introductions
*May not be the right fit for all dogs

The Humane Society of Barron County is a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter serving Barron County and surrounding areas.

Established in 1978 by a small but dedicated group of core volunteers, the HSBC started out with these volunteers taking animals into their own homes and advertising the need for forever homes for these animals. Over the years, since this humble beginning the HSBC has grown into the organization that it is today. From the homes of volunteers, relying on fundraising and the generous donations of our community, we have grown into and remain in our home on Guy Avenue in Barron.

HSBC is operated by a small staff and relies heavily on volunteers, as well as funds from donations, adoptions, memberships and fundraisers to keep our doors open for the animals needing our assistance.
