My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby Tahoe has been kept outside his whole life in the scorching heat, deprived of food and water.

When someone reached out to us about this we had to investigate.

Upon driving up, we found him baking in the sun on a dirty mattress, panting uncontrollably. We tried to get the attention of the owner but to no avail. The neighbor boy came out and said that the owner doesn't feed him, but he does. This dog had been relying on a 6-year-old to feed him every day.

The owner of the house finally came out an hour later and we were able to speak to him. We asked if we could buy him off of the gentleman but he said it was his brother's dog and "he just bought him a bag of food so I don't know if he wants to waste that money". He told us to come back tomorrow to ask him.

The next morning we showed up with $160 and hotdogs. We walked up to the door and the brother came out and said he would be willing to sell him to us "if we could catch him".

He was terrified, but after over an hour of trying we got him!

It took Tahoe 2 days to come out of his shell. Now, he's the happiest goofiest most social little guy!

He's great with dogs and people. He's UBER smart, great on leash, and is working on basic obedience now!
