My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ms. Obsidian. She is a beautiful young black cat with piercing amber eyes and a smoother-than-silk coat. She had a bit of a rough beginning, but has come a long, long way. She was born to a feral mom, one of 5 kittens. She spent her first 3 months outside learning the ways of a self-sufficient kitty from her feral mom. Fortunately, her feral mom was being fed by a nice lady who contacted the person that would later become her and her siblings’ human foster mom. All 5 kittens were trapped and spent many weeks inside their foster mom’s house unlearning their outside kitty ways and learning their new indoor kitty ways. Her 4 siblings have all been adopted, and it is now Ms. Obsidian’s turn! She is the shy girl, still coming out of her shell. She needs a human who will understand and appreciate her outdoor heritage and help her continue her indoor kitty journey. She does love to be petted, but she may not ask for it. She would be great in a home office or other smaller space where she could spend time with her new mom or dad. She’ll be a great indoor companion someday. Hopefully, she’ll get the chance to show that soon!HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Some of these animals may not be available for adoption at this moment, but you can always call the shelter at 830-629-5287 for clarification on the adoption process or the animal's current status.
