Holy cow! Meet Clarabelle, our adorable little sweetheart! At around 12lbs, she`s a fantastic little companion. She can be very nervous at a first meeting, and is scared at first of being picked up, and she WILL be very vocal about it, but if you sit down and let her come to you, and give her lots of time and affection, she`s an absolutely lovely little gal. Clarabelle is VERY treat motivated, so it could be a great way to teach her some new tricks, because she can even `sit pretty` while she waits for a snack! She can be put on a leash, but has shown ZERO interest in taking walks, other than a few steps around the room! And Clarabelle seems to have a fear of being vulnerable, so we think she`d be great in a home full of calm and relaxation, and of course treats and snuggles! We also think a home with at least one other dog would be ideal for her, since she seems to be better with other dogs than by herself. We recommend bringing your dog to see if they will work well together. Who is ready to give this little cowgirl her safe home on the range?!
Clarabelle is located at: Going to the Dogs & Cats Resale Store Cottonwood Mall 10000 Coors Bypass NW Use the Main Entrance Between MOR & JC Penney Albuquerque, NM 87114 Phone: (505) 867-5347

More about this shelter
Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
