My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mushu, a handsome and friendly pup with a sweet, goofy personality that's sure to bring smiles! Mushu is a high-energy adventurer who absolutely loves to hike and explore the great outdoors. His enthusiasm for life is matched by his eagerness to try new things. Mushu would fit in best with teens or adults who can help him continue to polish up his manners when he's excited. He loves to meet new people, but would prefer to be the only canine apple of your eye. If you're looking for a spirited and lovable companion to join you on exciting adventures and fill your days with joy, Mushu is ready to be your best friend!

Mushu is currently at the Adoption Center, so you can meet him as a walk-in at 14 Forever Friend Lane from Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00-4:00! For more information before you visit, leave a voicemail at 828-761-2001 ext. 300 or email adoptions@ashevillehumane.org.

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
