My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Wilbur and Ozzy, an adorable pair of guinea pigs looking for their forever home! These two little guys came to us from the same home but had been separated when one of them got a uti and they started fighting. Once here we tried getting them back together and it was the sweetest reunion! They went right to snuggling each other in the same hidey!

Ozzy (tri color) is the curious one-always the first to explore new spaces and check out what's going on around him. His adventurous spirit is balanced by his sweet and gentle nature, making him a great cuddle buddy once he's comfortable.

Wilbur (black) is a bit more laid-back, preferring to hang out in cozy spots, but don't let his chill demeanor fool you-he's got a playful side too! He loves munching on fresh veggies and making the cutest little noises when he's happy.

Together, Wilbur and Ozzy make the perfect duo. They're bonded, which means they need to stay together, but that just means double the fun and double the love! Both are great with gentle handling and are sure to brighten your days with their squeaks and snuggles.

If you're looking to add some joy and cuteness to your life, Wilbur and Ozzy are waiting to meet you!

More about this shelter

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
