Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi there, I'm Hera, a sweet and friendly 8-year-old Labrador Retriever looking for my forever home. I may be a senior, but I've still got plenty of love and energy to give!
I know I'm not perfect, and I have a few quirks that come with age. Sometimes I have accidents because I don't always have great bladder control. And I can get a little obsessed with shadows and reflections - it's kind of like my own little OCD. But don't worry, I'm a good girl who just needs a little extra patience and understanding.
When I'm not chasing shadows, I love to relax with my favorite toys. I get really attached to them, so it might take a little while to convince me to give them up. But once I warm up to you, I'll be your most loyal and loving companion.
I'm great with other dogs and kids, and I can even live with cats! I'm just looking for a patient and understanding, very nurturing home with experience with senior dogs that have entered into having some possible senile issues.
I also suffer from happy tail, which is a condition where my tail wags so hard that it can cause pain and even injury if/when I wack it into a wall or other furniture. To manage my happy tail, I sometimes need to wear a special Elizabethan collar or a tail bandage, but not all the time... just when I hit it too hard somewhere. With proper care and management, I can still live a happy and healthy life.

More about this rescue
Southern Nevada Animal Rescue League (SNARL) exists to provide a better life for adoptable homeless, abandoned, or abused animals. We aim to assist in the effort of limiting the overpopulation of these animals as well as educate the public against breed or size discrimination. There is no such thing as a “bad breed”, only bad humans. Our mission is to make sure all of the animals we rescue are placed in loving, safe, and viable fur-ever homes.
