My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M MIKEY! I'm a young (about 1-1/2 years old) small terrier in need of a home with a very experienced adopter. You see, I'm terrified of people. I watch my foster mom from afar, and I really want to get to know her - but I'm not quite there yet. I cannot be picked up or petted as that would freak me out. So quite honestly, I'm a special needs dog right now, and can only go to someone who understands scared dogs, and who can work with me and be extremely patient. A big yard wouldn't work for me as you'd never coax me in, so I also need a special set-up, if you have one. I know I may have to wait awhile for a home, but my rescuers believe I will eventually come around to be a loving, happy dog. I weigh only 5 pounds. I do get along great with other dogs and they give me comfort, as I can learn from them. Serious adopters only - please email for an application.

We are a registered 501c3 animal rescue organization in the State of California. We adopt out dogs in Southern California and in the Pacific Northwest, and in some cases we work with rescue partners in specific locations, to help facilitate adoptions.
