Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet North! North is an approximately 5 year old female kitty who was brought to us as a stray and was not reclaimed by an owner. North was having a hard time out on the streets and was very thin and hungry. She has gained lots of weight and is feeling much better after some TLC. She gets along fine with other adult cats but not kittens (their playful behavior annoys her!). She uses the litterbox here and would probably be fine with polite dogs. She can be sassy sometimes so may not be a good fit for young kids without boundaries. Her adoption fee is $100 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations and negative felv/fiv tests. Please call 630-553-9256 or email animalcontrol@kendallcountyil.gov or stop by during our open business hours to meet North!

Kendall County Animal Control is the county agency responsible for enforcement of the state statutes governing rabies control in domestic companion animals. The State of Illinois requires that all dogs are vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian. Compliance with this law is monitored through the issuance of rabies tags for all dogs residing in the county. All dogs are required to wear their rabies tags when off of the owner's property. If a pet is lost, rabies tags also provide an excellent means of identifying your pet.
Kendall County Animal Control also enforces the county's ordinance that prohibits dogs from running at large in unincorporated residential subdivisions, investigates reports of animal bites, and will pick up contained stray dogs in unincorporated Kendall County during operating hours. Stray and owner released cats and dogs may also be brought to the facility during business hours. Cats and dogs are available for adoption at the facility.
