My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a very unique male dog whom people at the shelter think am a mix of a dachshund and possible a retriever. I was brought in by animal control so they don't know a whole lot about me. But don't let my stature fool you; I am a very energetic dog who needs lots of playtime and would fit in well in a family with other dogs to romp around with.

Additional adoption info

We are working on getting all the animals in our shelter spayed or neutered, but if you adopt one who hasn't been altered, we will work with you to get this completed as soon as possible, so you can take your new pet home.

Go meet their pets

Come see some available pets at Twin Parks, Saturday August 31 during the Pershing Balloon Derby! We will be up there from 10-3, weather permitting.

More about this shelter

We are a small, rural shelter primarily serving Linn County, Missouri. We have been in this building since 2003, and we are currently growing by creating a larger area out back of our building for the dogs to be able to interact and exercise more. We work tirelessly to help disadvantaged animals and work with local vets to give them the best care possible. We are very thankful to our community for their constant donations of money, material shelter needs, and their time. Without them, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
