Ember is officially on the hunt for her forever home! We know her stunning looks will attract quick attention, so please read this post fully to understand her NEEDS.

Ember is around 3.5 months old and 18 pounds. While we don’t know with certainty what breed mix she is, her foster mom sees a lot of husky traits in her looks, coat and especially her personality. Because huskies are one of the most common breeds to be rehomed or abandoned in shelters, we are *requiring* Ember go to a home that has successfully owned and loved a husky or another working breed.

Ember is smart, mischievous, independent and so very sweet. While she can come off as aloof to strangers, once she bonds with her people she REALLY bonds. Her favorite activities include playing with other dogs, chewing on bones, digging holes and romping around the backyard. This girl is not afraid to get dirty and will happily flop herself over into a big puddle or mound of dirt.

She is making progress in her potty training, but will need her person to be patient and keep her on a consistent schedule. She sleeps quietly in her crate while her fosters are out of the house and chooses to sleep under their bed overnight instead of in a dog bed. Ember walks well on a leash and currently goes for a mile walk each day to keep her sane. She is a SMART girl, but also can be stubborn and opinionated (like most powerful women).

Ember requires daily exercise and mental stimulation to remain happy. She needs a home with a fenced in backyard that has been thoroughly checked for escape points.

She is as sassy as she is sweet and LOVES to hang with her people and furry friends. Ember has never met a friend she doesn’t like, but she would do best with another active dog that loves to play and rough house.

She is a going to make someone an AMAZING and loyal companion and adventure buddy!
