Gotti is an energetic and affectionate lady who loves being the center of attention. She’s always eager to climb into laps and find any snacks you might have. On a recent Doggie Day Out at a local festival, Gotti’s curiosity got the best of her. She wanted to investigate everything! You definitely won’t stay in one spot with this girl. During a walk around the neighborhood, she was a star, happily meeting new people and being incredibly patient and gentle with children. Her `beauty and the beast` costume, complete with a tutu, was a big hit, and she received lots of compliments!Gotti is also a people-watcher—she enjoyed sitting at a distance from the festival and calmly observing the crowd. While she showed interest in passing dogs, she was easily redirected and did not lunge or bark. In the car, Gotti settled in for a nap after a little initial adjustment, though she did try to help with driving at first! She’s very sweet and loves having a stuffy in her mouth while she relaxes at your feet or cuddled in your lap. Gotti would do best in a quieter home with plenty of toys, sniffy mats for enrichment, and a comfy couch or sunbeam for lounging. She would be a great fit for someone who works from home and can give her the attention and love she craves. With her playful nature and loving personality, Gotti is sure to make a wonderful companion!
Adoptions are free and include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving with you. To view our current available animals, please visit: https://indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet.
