My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable little girl was left behind when her dad was taken into hospice care. 💔Somehow, Diva ended up outside in the backyard in the Texas heat until a lawncare company found her. She was pretty much unresponsive but animal control rushed her to the vet, who saved her. 💖

Diva had to be treated for heartworms in addition to everything else she'd been through. ❣ She's been such a little trooper through everything, and she has opinions about all of it. She's come out the other side and is a sassy golden girl. Look at the difference between her shelter picture and now. 🤗

Diva loves snacks. All the snacks. 🤤 Mealtime is her favorite time. Every time. But, it'll be important to keep Diva lean for the rest of her life. Being overweight will put added stress on her heart, which is not something we want to see with a heartworm survivor. In addition, Diva is a dachshund mix, and carrying extra weight can create a multitude of problems for her spine and joints. 🦵

We can't believe Diva has been with us for over a year. She's a silly girl and will bring so much entertainment to her forever family. She is full of personality, and who wouldn't want to look at that sweet frosty face every day? 🥰

If you've been considering a new furry family member, we hope Diva's sweet face touches your heart. 💞

ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.tinyurl.com/IADRAdoptionApp

***IMPORTANT- PLEASE READ***

Our adoption fee is $175.

We require an application to be completed prior to setting up a meet-and-greet. We do not offer "on-the-spot" adoptions. We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis. We do our best to match dogs with families that will be a good fit to help ensure a successful adoption. We reserve the right to decline any application for any reason.

Due to the nature of our adoption process, our fosters are usually only able to consider forever families within a reasonable driving distance of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. A vet reference is required, and a trial period will be completed before finalizing the adoption. Thank you for your understanding.
