My story

Whose got the cutest ears! Meet Ronnie! Ronnie is a ten-year-old fun little guy and a super sweetheart!

Ronnie was found stuck in a shelter for over a month, until a rescue decided to save him that day. Ronnie enjoys being with his people and seems to do well with a calmer household. He would do well as an only dog or with other low-key dogs. He plays in short spurts and then gets tired.

Ronnie has a collapsable trachea which for him means he will make a honking sound and sometimes cough at different times throughout the day. When this happens, distracting him is helpful. When upset or scared the coughing increases.

He is a little chunky so treats are limited. He enjoys short walks which help to distract him from coughing, as well as to encourage him with a healthier lifestyle. A harness is needed for Ronnie for walking. No collars. It appears that he does have some hearing loss. He is potty trained.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
