My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hanna and Elke are two little loves that are looking for their Forever family.  Hanna is the BEST lap cat (and shoulder cat) who wants to hang out with you at the computer or on the couch.  Elke likes to sit next to her people and burrow into the crook of your elbow and then…wait for it… the PURR that sounds like a motorcycle starts revvv’ing up.   They follow each other and mimic each other’s move.  If one is eating the other starts eating….if one is playing with a specific toy the other one wants THAT toy too so they both play together.  No fighting (except in play) – they are just devoted sisters and best friends.

Easy keepers, they are not picky and have canned food AM and PM and dry food out all the time.  Elke is the golden brown classic mackerel tabby and Hanna has white guard hairs that look like frosting on her black coat and adorable black spots on her white hind legs as she bounds away.

They always use their litter box and don’t make a mess except when they leave their toys all over the house for ‘mom’ to pick up.  They are quiet at night and just a joy to have around.  Even one of our old man cats interacts with them, swatting in play and grooming them.  They would be good with a family – older children with the understanding of how to pick them up and when to put them down – and while they have not had dog experience, a friendly dog with “no chase/no bark” personality should be just fine with a slow introduction.

Hanna and Elke live in Hillsboro with their foster family.  Indoor only but a catio would be really fun for them! The adoption fee of $250 for the pair Includes spay, microchip, worming and flea treatment, current vaccines, and negative FIV and FeLV test.

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
