Meet Max
I am a sweet boy that was found abandoned on the streets but rescued by a caring citizen. I was in rough shape with very long nails, poor skin, and a hurt eye. But with lots of bathing, nail trims, and eye drops I am getting a hop in my step again. I can even run down the steps outside and chase tennis balls. I might be around 5 years old and weigh 60 pounds but I am fully potty trained and can get around with no problems.

I am super mellow and do not get bothered by anything or anyone, I don't even know what a bark is. I get along amazing with the other 2 foster dogs and kids in the house, not sure about cats but seems to not care about anything except being close to my human. She calls me velcro because as long as I am next to her I am happy.

If you are looking for a lovable companion that will make time to cuddle and take me on short walks and chase me in the yard then I am your guy.

Adoption fees are based on the breed, health, age, and behavioral status of each dog. All dogs are microchipped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, flea/worm treated and have had a wellness exam before becoming adoptable. If you are interested in adopting a BHNW dog, please fill out the online application. If you are matched to the dog you are interested in or another dog in our program, you will be contacted by the foster family. Prior to adopting, there is a mandatory home evaluation to ensure your home and family are ready for that dog. We require a contract for all adoptions and there is a two-week trial to ensure a good match. If for any reason you can no longer care for the dog you adopted from us, that dog must be returned to our program.
