Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Estimated to be about 3 1/2 years old, Morris is a beloved favorite at the shelter. When he first arrived as a stray, Morris seemed a bit stressed by the shelter environment. Understandable, since we can never know what he experienced before coming to us. After 9 months here, Morris has let his guard down and now absolutely adores his volunteer friends!
When Morris first arrived, he seemed reactive toward other dogs. But as we've gotten to know him and he's begun to trust us, we've seen more potential for him to have a canine companion with the right match.
Morris has put on a few extra pounds during his stay (who hasn't?), so he'd love an adopter who can keep him active and help him stay fit and healthy.
Applications can be filled out in person or online: ahscares.org/adopt ID# 70966 Primary Color: Blue Secondary Color: White Weight: 60 Age: 3yrs 9mths 2wks

More about this shelter
The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.
For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused, or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.
The Society is a not-for-profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.
