Megan is such a delightful kitten. She has learned to navigate very well despite her Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH) and is romping around her foster home with their resident cats. She prefers carpeting over more slippery floor surfaces and has even begun navigating a step between rooms. She has a wonderful purr motor and will bring you lots of love and laughs.
Here is how her foster family describes Megan’s progress:
Megan continues to astound as she springs to new and amazing heights, and traverses to such adventurous locations as down a tall step, or in and then back out of a large box. Her strength and determination, combined with a playful nature, has her surprising us daily with all that she can do. She delights everyone who sees her with her unique way of moving around while she navigates the world with CH. Megan’s frequent and robust purr is a sure sign that she’s pretty pleased with herself, too!
Megan, a three-month-old kitten girl with a heart of gold, sleek, glossy black fur, and a strong bushy tail ringed in stripes of grey, is a joy to have around. She lets you know of her happiness with whatever activity, furry friend, or loving person is in her radius by engaging her rumble of satisfaction, which is so loud that often you can hear her before you see her!
Megan, who has cerebellar hypoplasia, aka “wobbly cat syndrome”, has a strong personality and a lot of determination. She loves to hop around chasing her sisters (Meatball, MeowMeow, and Meesha) and also quite likes to hoist herself up as high as she can manage. While she reserves most of her meows for traveling in her carrier, it’s worth mentioning twice that her purr motor is incredibly loud and active. Megan also loves rattling toys, the fishing pole game, and batting balls about. When she is ready to relax, she loves being loosely wrapped in a soft blanket and held like a baby, then loafing in a cozy spot beside a window and watching the outside activity before dozing off for a nap.
Megan and her sisters have personalities that are a perfect blend of playful and cozy, and are sources of much entertainment as well as a lot of cuddle time. Megan would be thrilled to be adopted with one of her sisters, all of whom show touching levels of compassion, inclusion, and compensation for Megan’s wobbly tendencies, with the tightest bond being with her sister Meesha. If not adopted with one of her sisters, Megan would need a home with at least one patient, understanding, and loving feline companion who likes to play and who will encourage Megan in her romps and general kitten activities, as well as be a warm and cozy companion with which to snuggle.
Megan would do best in an environment without any levels hindering her mobility while moving about for business or play. This sweet and determined kitten is used to a quiet home with older children. Megan will bring much joy to the lucky home into which she is adopted.
Adoption fee is a minimum $110 per kitten donation to Feral Fixers. All cats are up to date on shots, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and FeLV/FIV tested. Discounted adoption fee if two kittens are adopted together, $175 for a pair. Brief screening questionnaire and contract apply!
