My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TJ… Totally Jolly? Truly a Joy? Terrific Jentleman? TJ can’t spell (he’s a dog after all) and he doesn’t know what the letters in his name stand for, but his volunteer friends think that any of those monikers fit this tasteful senior sweetie!

TJ spent a bit of time in a foster home and his foster family raved about him!!

“TJ was the PERFECT foster dog! A pure 10/10. TJ overall is a very easygoing, mellow dog, who occasionally likes to play with his toys and jump around outside. I would not call him high energy or easily excited. He is a huge cuddler- when I stop petting him he paws at me and says `more please!`. He also is a big fan of belly rubs.

TJ is also very good in the car and just stays in his seat and looks around at the scenery. Sometimes I would be gone for up to five hours, and TJ did great. He is housebroken, so I would take him out before I left and then once I got back, and we never had any accidents which was perfect.

TJ was an amazing foster and it breaks my heart we have to give him back. He is just a mellow old man who longs to be loved and cuddled. TJ deserves to be in a home where they just adore him and provide a quiet place for him to stay. This baby deserves a home. We love you TJ!”

Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter had to say about this very sweet boy:

“TJ is just the nicest old man. He is easy to leash up and walks nicely. We sat outside for a bit and he showed me that he knows how to sit and takes treats nicely. He then laid down near my feet and flopped over for belly rubs. He also enjoyed some vigorous rolls on his back in the dirt! He seems to really enjoy human companionship and affection. TJ is a sweet old boy who deserves to spend his senior years in a comfy, loving home.”

TJ is a smart old fella too- he knows, sit, shake, down, and roll over (if he feels like it), and we think it would be easy to teach this old dog a few new tricks too! TJ needs to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure that it’s a good fit. This Talented Jewel will surely steal your heart with his Tenacious Joviality- come meet TJ today!
