My story

Are you looking for a dog that is equally happy playing and being a couch potato? If so, Marbles is the one for you! Marbles is an approximately 2 year old pittie, with big ears and a bigger heart. He loves spending time around people and dogs alike. He is also clever, as he learned a few basic commands like sit in less than a day with his foster. He is crate trained, and an incredibly respectful boy. He also loves going for leisurely walks where he can take his time to sniff.

Marbles would do best in a home with other dogs around his size so that he can play freely with them. That being said, he is also kind with small dogs, he just forgets he is bigger when playing. He has never directly interacted with cats, but based on distanced interactions (2-3 feet away) with them outdoors, he would likely do well with proper introduction.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
