Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I’m Luis, a handsome terrier who would love to have a stable home and a forever family to shower with my wet kisses.
I’m a big teddy bear, weighing in around 60 to 65 pounds, and my estimated birth date is December 2018.
I was emaciated when I was found tied to a tree near the Humane Society of York County. I had a microchip, but it turns out my owner didn’t want me. I dearly love my friends at HSYC, but shelter life is not my cup of tea, and I get stressed by the noises, smells and activity.
Away from the shelter, I’m a cuddle bug who appreciates a good belly rub and chin scratch, and I enjoy my walks with shelter staff and volunteers. A home that offers some regular activity would be a great fit for me. Although I admit that one of my favorite things to do on my “walks” is to lean in for petting while I sit and people-watch.
I need a dog-experienced person or family, in a home with only adults and no children. I need to take my time getting to know new people, so multiple visits to meet me will be important. I also will need to be the only pet in the home.
I want a place where I’m wanted, cared for and loved – because I definitely will give back all of that love! A calm, stable home that offers me some consistency would be perfect after the turmoil I’ve had in my life.
I can pour on the big brown eyes and the snuggles. Call to meet me and I’ll show you.If you wish to meet me, please call the Humane Society of York County at (803)-802-0902 to schedule an appointment.
