Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sofia is a doll! She's about 9 months old and was rescued from the Riverside County, CA shelter just in time. She is now in foster care in Santa Barbara, CA.
Sofia is such a typical cattle dog! She's smart, energetic and athletic. She can easily jump up onto a 3 1/2 high narrow ledge! She's also capable of being chill and hanging out as long as she gets decent exercise.
Sofia is great with all other dogs she has met, and she has met a lot. She plays well with a larger age-mate. She's high enough prey drive that cats are likely not a good match for her. She was also very nervous around a toddler, so she's a no for a home with small children.
Sofia can be shy with strangers, also typical of the breed, and she was clearly grabbed by the collar and not treated well, so it took awhile for her to trust being caught or put on a leash. But now that she's had lots of great experiences with both, she is a new dog! She used to be scared of the car too, but after a few trips to the dog park, she's ready to leap right in!
Sofia is vaccinated, and her adoption includes her spay (scheduled for later this month) and microchip as well.

We generally start with an interview to check for compatibility and give the potential adopter information about the dog
2.
Meet the Pet
If step 1 goes well, we arrange a meeting
3.
Submit Application
This step may come earlier, if it makes sense to do this prior to a meeting
Additional adoption info
Our dogs often go into foster to adopt, to give potential adopters a chance to see if it is a good match.
