My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful 4-year-old, 60-pound grey Pit Bull Terrier is all about love! Lovey is fully vaccinated, crate and house trained, and is ready to find her special family.

Lovey adores her people and would make an amazing companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog. With her loving nature, she could easily be a great running or hiking partner, as she has the energy and enthusiasm for outdoor adventures. However, Lovey has made it clear that she prefers to be the Queen of the home—she’s happy to be the only dog and doesn't mind sharing walks with other dogs, but she’d rather not have to share her space at home.

Lovey is well-trained and knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “place.” She’s obedient, listens well, and is a joy to have around. She’s also perfectly fine being left alone while you're at work—she’ll just hang out and wait for your return, showering you with love when you get home.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal dog who would thrive as the only pet and be your best friend for hikes, runs, or lazy days at home, Lovey might be the perfect fit for you!

If you are interested in adopting Lovey, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.
