My name is DERBY!

Oh hi... I`m Derby. Not quite as fancy as the Kentucky Derby, but I wouldn`t mind a peaceful afternoon of watching horses walk around. I`m a little shy, and a loving pack leader is just what the veterinarian ordered! You see, I am heartworm positive. But the nice people here can help fix that as soon as I find my forever home! When I came in, I had some skin issues and aches and pains. But, I`m recovering well! Just look at my photo, I`m in mid-gallop! I know with some more tender, loving care I could be as good as new! Life is not a short sprint like the Kentucky Derby, it`s a marathon with lots of ups and downs. Let`s run this race together! Come by Grand Prairie Animal Shelter to meet me!
