Meet Hawke

Hawke is a lovable 6-year-old weighing in at 90 lbs of pure joy! This gentle giant has a playful spirit and adores crinkle toys, rope toys, and balls—he’s always ready for a game.

Hawke has lived happily with four other dogs and gets along well with pups of all sizes, especially when given time to warm up. He’s curious and friendly with kids, enjoying gentle sniffs and head rubs.

He’s house trained, kennel trained, and leash trained, though he can get a bit anxious and excited when he sees other dogs during walks—training is in progress to help him stay calm. Hawke knows commands like `sit` and `down,` showcasing his eagerness to learn.

The process is quite simple! Please stop by and see for yourself. All animals are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to going home.

Tuesday - Saturday:10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

More about this shelter

We are a non-profit open intake shelter that serves all of East Baton Rouge parish. We strive to improve the lives of abandoned, unwanted and abused animals in our parish. We house approximately 400 animals at any given time. We take in 20-30 new animals a day. We are always in need of fosters both short and long term, donations, and volunteers.
