My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Max! I'm just a puppy, but boy do I love to play. I've got energy to spare and I'm always ready for a game of fetch or tug-of-war. My goofiness is part of my charm, I can make anyone laugh with my silly antics. I'm also a loyal friend. I promise to always be by your side, ready to give you all the love and affection you need. I'm friendly too, I love meeting new people and making new friends. I know I'm still young, but I promise to be the best dog I can be. I just need someone to give me a chance. Why should you adopt me? Well, I believe that every home needs a little bit of goofiness, a lot of playfulness, and a whole lot of loyalty. That's me, Max, ready to bring joy and laughter into your life.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
