My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Scout, formally known as Jean Louise. Scout is a nine-year-old cattle dog-boxer mix who has been Daddy’s little girl since she was a puppy. The memory of her playful spirit, especially as a puppy with her big Buddha belly, still brings a smile to my face. Though she’s grown up, her love for playtime remains strong, particularly when it involves a game of fetch with the children she adores.

Scout isn’t motivated by treats like her brother Lucky; she prefers a good game of fetch. She’s a people dog at heart, needing daily butt scratches and snuggles to feel content. Due to some tough experiences as a pup, Scout is cautious around other dogs, but once she feels safe, she’s all in for playtime.

Rehoming Scout is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. She’s been my constant companion and source of endless love for nine years. After much soul-searching, we’ve concluded that this is what’s best for her and our family, who have developed severe allergies. She is a great dog!
