Babe is a tomboy who loves to get dirty, wet, or muddy. As long as she gets to play outdoors, she doesn't care. She stands still and lets us rinse her off when it is time to go back to her kennel. She has so much fun in play groups! She adores people too! She knows "sit" and takes treats gently. Babe rides well in a car and in a foster home she knew to go to the door to be let out. She may do well in a crate at night when you aren't awake to let her out. Babe will chase the feline friends so we recommend placing her in a no cat home. She is listed in the age range of 6 mos. - 2 yrs. and weighs 64 lb. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested and vaccinated. Come meet Babe at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are here to help you find the one for you! When you come to the shelter please bring your photo ID.

2.
Take the Pet Home

Adopt and the pet is legally yours! Or choose to "slumber party" which is a trial adoption. You will have up to two weeks to decide.

3.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee.

All adopters must be at least 18 years old. The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, current on age and species appropriate vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention. Kittens under 6 months of age are tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), and Cats over 6months of age are tested for FeLV and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Dogs over 6 months of age are tested for heartworm disease. If the dog is heartworm positive, the treatment will be provided by our Veterinarian, at no cost to the adopter, sponsored by our generous community partner Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP).
