My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $650, plus tax
Location: Foster Home

Hi there! I'm Havana, a fun-loving pup with a zest for life! One of my favorite things is getting the zoomies in the yard - you should see me go!

When it's time to wind down, I'm all about the snuggles. There's nothing better than curling up in bed with my humans for some quality cuddle time. I'm a real softie at heart.

At night, I do well in my kennel, but I'll admit I'm a bit of a baby. I love it when someone sits with me for a few minutes until I get comfy. Once I'm settled, I'm good to go for the night.

Oh, and guess what? I'm great with other dogs! I get along really well with the big dog in my foster home. So if you've already got a furry friend, don't worry - I'll fit right in.

Overall, I'm a sweet, affectionate girl who's just looking for a family to call my own. I promise to fill your days with love, laughter, and lots of zoomies.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
