My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rah, a charming 4-year-old Plott Hound mix, was discovered with her two adorable puppies on July 1st on Griffith Branch Rd. Despite her challenging start, Rah has shown incredible resilience and warmth. Now that her puppies are safe and sound, Rah is ready to find a loving forever home of her own. With her gentle nature and soulful eyes, she promises to bring joy and companionship to any family fortunate enough to adopt her. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate furry friend, Rah might just be the perfect addition to your home.

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
