RICHMOND, VA - BAKER - 4 years and 4 month old (DOB 03-17-2020) (fully vetted/neutered) male WIREHAIRED GERMAN POINTER - needs a new loving, experienced home. I know he isnt a saint bernard etc., however, I work closely with a vet in VA and a wonderful rescue that needs our help finding him a home that knows these intelligent, active beauties. Not good with small children (they frighten him), no cats but a sweet calm female dog would be great.
Baker's owners cannot keep him any longer. He knows commands and is well house trained. However, socks should be kept off floor. (My note: dogs that eat this stuff often have a really bad diet and need animo acids and real food. This boy has only eaten dry, hence he looking for nutrients/minerals elsewhere). Went hunting a few times with the family but mostly a family pet. Not Gun Shy; he has been conditioned and will pick up bird hunting with you quickly. He is good with a docile female. He essentially is hit or miss with some dogs. He is loving and sweet. He needs a home where the family is active and outdoor-sy. Best in a home without small children and other pets. PLEASE CHECK OUT THE WRITE UP FROM OWNER IN THE PHOTOS SECTION.
