Meet Calvin, the 5-year-old Hound mix with a zest for life! This lively guy was found as a stray on 8/5 and had a brief stint in a foster home. While they adored his friendly and clumsy nature, his high energy was a bit too much for them.

Calvin is on the hunt for a home that can keep up with his energetic personality. If you love loud, stubborn hounds who are crazy about food, Calvin might just be your perfect match! He’s partially potty trained and loves to run and chase tennis balls (though fetching isn`t really his thing).

Calvin enjoys field trips to the park where he can people-watch to his heart`s content. He’s not suited for apartment living due to his high energy. Calvin does well with confident cats and respects their space. A meet-and-greet with other dogs is required because of his enthusiastic nature.

To adopt a pet, we encourage you to visit the Pet Adoption Center as often as you like. You will be asked to fill out an adopton application and speak to a staff member who will help you make your selection. We are happy to keep your information on file and work with you to the best of our ability to help you find the perfect pet. Adoption fees are $60.00 this includes, spay or neuter, microchip, worming, some vaccinations, and heartworm test for. We offer a feline leukemia test for $15.00 non refundable at the time of adoption.

We are located across from the St. Charles Community College, approximately 3 miles south of I70 and 1 mile north of Hwy 94 on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 10am to 5pm, Wednesday 10am to 6:30pm, and Saturday 10 to 4pm

St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center is a full service animal shelter. Our Animal Control Officers work throughout St. Charles County to protect animals and people and educate animal owners about responsible pet ownership. At our Pet Adoption Center, we take in strays for safe keeping until their owners come to claim them. We offer microchipping services to the public during our regular business hours. The Pet Adoption Center always has a large variety of dogs and cats available for adoption.
