Here's what the humans have to say about me:
·Intake Reason: Surrendered due to not being the right match -Weight: 12 lbs
Known with: ·Cats: Unknown ·Dogs: Unknown ·Kids: Unknown
Hello, my name is Gray and I am a feisty and spunky gal looking for a new home. I originally came from MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) and was adopted for a couple months by a very nice person. After a while we realized that we were not the right match, so I came back to WCHS to find a new family. Although I am a senior and smallish, I am by no means a frou-frou dog who wants to lounge all day; I like to stay busy. I am a spirited gal who enjoys a power-walk and consider myself a fearless chipmunk hunter. I am friendly and tolerant of handling, but do like affection on my own terms. I am working through some resource guarding issues and will need my family to understand that I prefer a little space when I am enjoying my meals. I do like yummy treats, so it might help if you walk by and toss some tasty morsels into my bowl while I am eating. That way I will start to look forward to you being near during mealtime because it brings good things. I can be a wee bit shy initially when I meet someone but that just means I do not rush in and slobber all over every human I meet like some pooches I know; I am more reserved. I am a calm little lady who appreciates cozy beds and blankets and a place to nap in a sunbeam. I like to keep my brain busy, so I think it would be lovely to play mentally challenging games or use my nose to find treats in a foraging mat. If you are looking for a girl who is past the crazy puppy days, likes to commune with nature on a walk each day and enjoys the magic of tranquil moments I may just be the pooch you are searching for. Stop by to meet me in person and maybe we'll discover we are a match made in heaven. #2

Visit the shelter. We have an application that takes about 15 minutes to fill out once you have found a pet you like. You call back the next day which gives us time to review the application and gives you 24 hours to think about your decision to adopt. You can also complete our on-line application and get approved in advance of finding the perfect companion. Once approved, you are able to adopt an animal the same day.
