My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘BARNYARD BABIES’ THEMED KITTEN:  Approx. 2 months old  / Approx. 2 lbs. & growing

Hi, my name is Duckling – one of the four adorable Barnyard themed kittens!  My siblings and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and quickly made our way to a great foster home.  We have been soaking up all the love and are now ready to spend a lifetime doing the same in new homes.  Two of my siblings have already been adopted, so – if you are looking for double the kitten love, my brother Kid and I are up to the task!

• OTHER CATS/DOGS/KIDS:  I got along very well with my siblings before some were adopted recently, and I am great pals with my brother Kid!  I may enjoy another kitty in my home, so if you have a nice kitty at home already, let’s meet.  / Dogs unknown / Children in my new home may be nice, since I am a playful kitten, but best they are gentle and know how to handle a kitten, and – of course, let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY INFORMATION:  Like my brother, I am a super active kitten who fills my days with all types of kitten antics.  When I DO slow down, I am sweet and affectionate with my people. I’m simply a wonderful kitten who is sure to steal your heart!

• SKILLS/LITTER TRAINED STATUS:  I keep my area clean, as I am litter trained.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to play with my brother, and we would be a great pair to welcome into your home, if you are looking for twice the kitten fun.  ‘WrestleMania’ is our favorite pastime, and we wrestle all day long!  Running about and climbing cat trees, conquering wand toys and chasing balls are all great fun! / I can’t think of any dislikes since I am a kitten (except being away from my brother, of course), but I would not be happy if I did not get the love and attention all kitties deserve!

• MEDICAL:  I’ve started my kitten shots, but you must finish those for me as I grow. I am microchipped.  I'm not yet spayed due to my small size, but it is required and will be done as soon as I grow a little more.  Mostly Mutts will cover that cost with one of their approved vets in the North Metro Atlanta area, so local adoptions only.

I am looking for a loving home with a great furever family!  My adoption fee is $175.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
