My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Malala!
Malala is a super sweet young lady who has been on quite the journey! Malala was sadly hit by a car which resulted in her hips being fractured in 4 places. After a few days of pain medication and rest, Malala had her feline triple test which revealed she is FiV positive. Malala needed to go to foster to have strict cage rest and luckily a foster with another FiV+ kitty was able to take her!
While she began to recover in foster, she started to show her true self. She`s an absolute sweet heart and loves everyone she meets, be it children or other cats! She is full of personality and love! She loves to give kisses and receive petting.
After several months of cage rest, Malala had several xrays and it was determined her hips had unfortunately not healed properly. She may develop issues over time and for this reason, her forever home will need to have a good relationship with their vet. Malala is also on a hip and joint supplement. She may walk with a permanent limp. She also sometimes shakes her back feet like she thinks there is something stuck to them.
Malala was fostered in a home with children and other cats. She does well with calm cats and children who respect her boundaries and understand she doesn`t like her hips touched.
Malala is on medication for life for her hips. This medication is call dasuquin and she prefers the treat form vs the kind that is sprinkled over her food.
If you`d like to meet Malala, please stop by KVHS during adoption hours!
