Here's what the humans have to say about me:
🐾Meet Evie! 🐾
Evie probably should have been named Tigger, as she is bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy, fun, fun, fun, fun, FUN! That's Evie. Life is great when your legs are made of pogo sticks and you have the athleticism of a belgian malinois (but is not one) Evie is looking for the kind of home that loves energetic, silly, playful dogs. Evie is super smart and training would be easy for her as long as there is fun woven in. Walking, hiking, exploring is tons of fun for her but she is a bit of a nervous car rider so practicing that would help her a lot overcome her nerves.
UPDATE We have learned that some of Evie's energy comes from being nervous and we have found when paired with another playful dog she calms down much quicker.
Due to her "Tigger-like" nature we do feel a home with larger kids would be better for her.
This adorable 6-month-old Pitbull/German Shepherd mix has been DNA tested and is ready to find her forever home. Evie is a friendly, energetic pup who loves playing with other dogs 🐶 and would likely thrive in a home with children 👧👦. She would absolutely love a yard to run around in 🌳. At 40 lbs, Evie is still growing and will probably reach over 50 lbs as she matures. She's already spayed and fully vetted for the first year 🩺. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion, Evie might be the perfect fit! 🏡❤️
Evie's adoption fee is $225 she is vaccinated, tested negative for Parvo, flea & tick treated, spayed and microchipped upon adoption.
You can apply online at https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=sr2794&method=online_form_html&formid=21 OR stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Tuesday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption.
We offer a weeklong foster to adopt program for any dog over 4 months old.
