I have been a little sad since my foster mom let my two brothers get adopted without me. It’s not fair that I am still waiting for my family to come and adopt me. The good news is that my sister is now here with me. Since I missed my brothers so much my foster mom said that I need to be adopted with my sister. We (Peep and I) both like that idea a lot. Peep and I have our own strengths and weaknesses and we help each other through stressful times.
You might have noticed that I am a handsome little guy, and my sister Peep looks a lot like me but she is more petite. We like playing together, running around our foster home, and sucking and kneading on our security blanket. I am quite the talkative little guy. This will come in handy when I start my career in politics. Nobody understands what I am saying but I like to talk anyway.
My foster home is great, it’s quiet and they have some big cats here for me to torment. Well, I’m pretty good about understanding when they don’t want to be bothered but I still like to hang out with them and try to chase them. I get a lot of visitors (I’m pretty much a celebrity here), but what would make me super happy is if my family would hurry up and get over here and adopt me and Peep.
I enjoy spending my afternoons hanging out on a cat tree watching the birds and humans outside, taking a cat nap with my sister and our foster mom, or playing with Peep and the other kittens at my foster home. I am a fan of the wet food, that I get twice a day, and the boiled chicken that we get as treats. That is some good chicken! During my time in my foster home I have learned how to play fetch with a particular orange toy and this toy should go home with me. If my foster mom forgets to put it in my bag she will be in the dog house, or the cat house, or wherever humans go when they are bad.
So now that you know a little bit about me please don’t make we wait too much longer before you come to meet me. Life is too short to not have me in it. I know my foster mom is going to be sad when I go home but she knows that my home and family are out there somewhere and that is where I should be. Other kittens in need, like I once was, are waiting to come to my foster home but they can’t until Peep and I get adopted. Why not make today the day! Come and meet me and Peep, fall in love with us, and take us home and spoil us rotten.
****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS****
***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:***
***Complete Information
You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision.
***Private, quiet meet & greets
You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens.
***Quality over Quantity
We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other.
***Veterinary Care
We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens.
***Food
Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us.
***Resident Pet/Child Safety
While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us.
***Post Adoption Support
It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters.

*****ADOPTION PROCESS:*****
APPLICATION:
Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match.
INTERVIEW:
An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time.
APPROVAL:
If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files.
TIME FRAME:
Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days.
WHY:
Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
