My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, I'm Smokey! I've had quite the adventure. You see, I used to live in a magical forest filled with playful sprites. One day, while chasing a twinkling sprite, I stumbled upon a portal that brought me here. I'm very brave so I didn't let it scare me, instead I made this foster home my new playground. I'm goofy, funny, and my curiosity knows no bounds! I've got energy to spare and I'm always ready for a game. I'm friendly too, making friends with everyone I meet. I'm uncertain of my exact birthday, but I am approximately four months old.

I'd do best being adopted along with another kitten friend I can play with (I have several buddies I'm being fostered with in my current foster home, so why not adopt a pair of us?), or to a home where there is a playful resident cat I can be friends with. I'm still young enough that I may be able to adjust to cat-friendly dogs, with proper introductions, and I'd likely do well with respectful kiddos.

I have been neutered, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped, vaccinated, and have tested negative for FIV/FeLV. If you're looking for a companion to fill your life with laughter, playfulness, and endless cuddles then I'm your kitten! Adopt me and I'll be your best bud.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
