Today was AMAZING! I went on a hike with two new friends, and I had SO much fun!! ?? At first, the car ride was a little scary, but once we got to the destination I was ready to go go go! The air smelled SO good, full of leaves and dirt and... oh my gosh, I could smell squirrels and I wanted to chase them soooo badly, but my friends made sure to keep me on the trail to take in all the new smells. I sniffed EVERY SINGLE thing! The trees, the rocks, the dirt... and all the other doggie smells! I was so excited, I tried to jump on the humans to show them how happy I was, but they kept telling me to be careful. I just wanted to show them my love!
Three Words to Describe Me are: Energetic, Playful, and Trusting Notes from My Walker: Rori loves to be outside and would make a great hiking or even running companion. She has bursts of high energy and will try to jump on you to show affection, but if met with a calm response, it’s easy and quick to get her to settle down. She’s easy to walk, 7/10 - just have to manage her excitement which is easy to redirect. She is mildly noise sensitive to traffic and esp. large trucks, but on a nature walk, she is in heaven. She was tentative to get into the car, but she let us pick her up and place her there. I sat with her in the back seat while my spouse drove, and that helped calm her nerves. She responds best to human interaction and was not at all interested in treats, but once you show her that all is safe and well, she checks in with you regularly, immediately trusts you, and will follow you.
