Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our newest rescue, Pixie, is a special girl. She is between 1 and 2 years old but is still very much a puppy. She loves to play and often entertains herself by throwing toys and retrieving them repeatedly. She is the most intelligent dog our rescue has ever had. Also the fastest. She resembles a gazelle and runs and leaps like one. Pixie is a Papillon mix with typical Pap ears and a rather skimpy Pap tail. What she is mixed with is anybody’s guess, possibly a Whippet though she is only 13 pounds. Her body is very sleek and her coat is shiny.
Pixie is housebroken and knows “sit”. Otherwise she is a wild child. She can jump higher than a small dog should be able to. A requirement for her adoption is that her forever family take her to a puppy obedience class. She needs to learn good manners and to always come when she’s called. Another requirement is that her adopter have a securely enclosed yard with a tall fence. Pixie is extremely curious and alert and wouldn’t hesitate to leap a fence to see what’s on the other side.
This little girl is super affectionate. She loves to lay against you with her head on your lap. Her adopter should enjoy a dog sleeping in bed with them. Pixie is good with other dogs. She would love another small dog to play with and she would probably be happy if there were older children as she is very energetic and needs lots of activity.
If you are interested in adopting Pixie, please contact Papillons and Playmates at paprescuesocal@gmail.com or 760-844-0414 for an adoption application.
